(1) To undertake the organization, leadership, coordination, and guidance of the city's statistical work, ensuring that statistical data is truthful, accurate, and timely. Implement national statistical laws, regulations, and plans, and organize the drafting of normative statistical documents.

(2) To establish and improve the national economic accounting system. Implement the city's national economic accounting system and input-output surveys, account for the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the city and each county (city, district), and supervise and manage the national economic accounting work of each county (city, district).platform between the government, financial institutions, and enterprises, and strengthen communication with financial institutions in Wenzhou.

(3) To organize and carry out censuses. Lead the organization of major national and municipal strength censuses and large-scale surveys, including population, economy, and agriculture. Summarize, organize, and provide statistical data related to municipal strength.

(4) To organize and implement the statistical survey system. Conduct statistical surveys of the city's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries, as well as energy, environment, investment, science and technology, social, population, labor and employment, and consumption.

(5) To execute national statistical standards. Legally approve statistical survey projects. Guide professional statistical basic work and the construction of basic statistical business at the grassroots level.

(6) To uniformly verify, manage, and publish city-wide basic statistical data, regularly release statistical information on the city's national economic and social development, and organize the establishment of statistical information sharing and publishing systems.

(7) To be responsible for statistical analysis, forecasting, and supervision. Conduct statistical analysis, forecasting, and supervision of the national economy, social development, scientific and technological progress, and resource and environmental conditions, and provide statistical information and advisory suggestions to the CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee, the Municipal People’s Government, and relevant departments. Carry out comprehensive evaluations of socio-economic development and surveys on public welfare and public opinion.

(8) To establish and improve the city's automated statistical information system and statistical database system, and guide the construction of computer networks and databases for statistical information in each county (city, district) and department.

(9) To be responsible for statistical law enforcement supervision. Establish and improve systems to prevent and combat statistical fraud and falsification. Establish and perfect systems for auditing, monitoring, and evaluating statistical data quality, and carry out audits, monitoring, and evaluations of important statistical data. Organize and carry out city-wide statistical work supervision and inspections, and investigate statistical illegal activities.

(10) To assist in the management of the directors and deputy directors of the Statistics Bureaus and chief statisticians in each county (city, district) by the CPC committees. Organize and guide city-wide statistical scientific research and statistical education and training. Carry out exchanges and cooperation in statistical work and statistical science outside the city. Assist in the management of statistical professional qualification examinations and professional title reviews. Uniformly manage the statistical career funds allocated to county-level government statistical departments by the Provincial Bureau of Statistics.

(11) To complete other tasks assigned by the CPC Wenzhou Municipal Committee and the Municipal People’s Government.
