AAAA-class A place of mountains, rocks and waves

Dongtou is a national 4A-class scenic area where Xiandie Rock Scenic Area is a must-see attraction. Located in the southeastern part of Dongtou District of Wenzhou, East China’s Zhejiang province, the 1.71-square-kilometer Xiandie Rock includes over 30 places of interest, such as the Xianpu Rock scenic area, the Nanpaotai Mountain Shooting Range, and the Dasha’ao Beach. Banping Mountain Scenic Area is located on Banping Island in Dongping subdistrict, boasting mile-long natural rock carvings on the sea that are known as “China’s best natural sea barrier”. In addition to the rugged cliffs in the eastern part of the scenic area, the wide and flat Jiucai’ao Beach, the largest artificially restored beach in southern Zhejiang province, lies in its western part, as a great place for beach sports and water playing.
