The word "Xuli" is derived from a verse by the famous ancient Chinese poet Tao Yuanming : " A distant Xuli can be faintly seen , and its chimney smoke is gently rising. " (“Xuli" is the Chinese spelling of an ancient village). The Xuli No.2 has dedicated itself to the rediscovery and dissemination of the beauty and value of the Chinese rural life. Featuring a simple and natural rural style, the B&B’s building is framed with logs, making it transparent and spacious. And it is blended in with the surrounding mountains and streams. Walking along a winding path to the building, you will find green trees and blooming flowers full of poetry and romance.

Currently, the "Xuli" has two B&Bs opened, both in Yongjia, Wenzhou. Xuli No.2 is Located in Pengxi Village in the middle reaches of the Nanxi River. The village is the settlement of the descendants of Xie Lingyun, Yongjia Prefecture Chief and a famous poet about over 1600 years ago. It is near mountains and waters, with rice fields in front of its windows, and fragrant flowers in the courtyard, presenting a leisure rural life scene.
