Urban taxis charge fares based on the meter. Economy cars have a starting fare of 11 yuan (for distances within 3.5 kilometers). For distances between 3.5 and 8 kilometers, the fare is 2.5 yuan per kilometer. Beyond 8 kilometers, an additional 50% empty return subsidy fee is applied. From midnight to 5 am, a 20% nighttime subsidy fee is added. Waiting time is also charged, with a waiting fee of 1.25 yuan for every 2.5 minutes of waiting.
