The Pingyang Library has an overall floorage of 13,798 sq m and more than 1,000 reading seats. It has more than one million volumes (pieces) of various literature resources, including 10,000 volumes of ancient documents. Each year, it receives more than 800,000 readers, and the number of loans is over 700,000 volumes. The branch library system is well-formed, with 20 City’s Studyies, achieving full coverage of library branches to the county’s townships. Holding reading service brands such as “Huiwen Lecture” and “Huiwen Public Welfare Classroom”, the library carries out more than 500 online and offline reading promotion activities every year. Its literature collation and research results are quite fruitful that the “Pingyang Local Literature Series”, the “Anal of the Pingyang County” of the Republic of China, and other documents have been collated and published successively.
