Located on the bank of the Oujiang River, Wenzhou Central Hospital, also known as Wenzhou Tumor Hospital, Wenzhou Institute of Medical and Pharmaceutical Science, and Wenzhou Sixth People’s Hospital, is a Grade A comprehensive hospital in Zhejiang province, offering medical treatment, training, scientific research, disease prevention, healthcare and rehabilitation services. As one of the three hospitals with a history longer than 100 years in Zhejiang, it was previously known by the names Dingley Hospital, Blyey Hospital, and the Second People’s Hospital of Wenzhou. The Hospital has three branches (the Bailifang, the Shuangyu and the Nanbaixiang ) with a total area of 201.05 mu (approximately 134,033.3 square meters) and an overall floorage of 165,904 square meters. With 1,745 beds in service (out of 1,650 approved beds), the hospital houses 64 wards, 52 clinical specialties, and 46 medical technology departments.
