The Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has recently announced the 2024’s second-batch qualification list of construction enterprises. Among them, Zhejiang Zhengli Hi-Tech Construction Co Ltd in Wenzhou has successfully obtained the special-grade general contracting qualification for construction projects. This marks the fifth enterprise with such qualification in Wenzhou. It is understood that the special-grade qualification is the highest-level credential for construction enterprises in China, serving as a “ticket” for entering high-end markets. It is also an important indicator to measure the overall strength of an enterprise. Upon obtaining this qualification, enterprises can undertake general contracting, design, and project management for construction projects of various levels, providing strong support for their expansion into broader, higher-end, and more comprehensive construction markets. Zhengli Hi-Tech Construction Co Ltd, formerly known as Wenzhou Jingye Municipal Construction Co Ltd, established in 2002, is now a subsidiary of Zhengli Group. Over the past two decades, it has pioneered green building and industrial innovation, encompassing the whole chain of green, ecological, and smart building ecosystem. In 2017, Zhengli Group was recognized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development as a “National Prefabricated Construction Industry Base.” In 2018, it established a prefabricated building component production park in Panshi, Yueqing, further enhancing the production of components, products, and equipment, and fostering a robust technical service and R&D system. The reporter learned from the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau that in recent years, the Bureau has actively followed the city's directive to boost the overall quality of the building industry chain. By implementing key strategies, providing targeted support to enterprises, optimizing the industrial structure, encouraging technological innovation, and promoting a unified and open market, remarkable progress has been achieved. In 2023, the number of construction enterprises in the city rose by 5.7% to 4,085. Forty-one enterprises gained first-grade general contracting qualifications, and 13 obtained professional contracting qualifications. Total construction output surged by 10.3%, with added value reaching 73.01 billion yuan, contributing 8.4% to GDP. For three consecutive years, the construction industry has generated tax revenue exceeding 10 billion yuan, firmly anchoring the city's economic stability. |
