Recently, Zhejiang RuiFuMan Medical Technology Company officially broke ground in the west zone of China's Gene Pharmaceutical Valley. Additionally, the company serves as a pilot scale experiment base affiliated with the Wenzhou Safety (Emergency) Institute of Tianjin University, specializing in the research and development of emergency medical devices. Notably, this marks the country's first such base dedicated to the development and testing of emergency medical devices. “Pilot scale experiment”refers to the experimental stage before a product is officially launched into full-scale production. It simulates the actual manufacturing process on a scaled-down level. A pilot scale experiment facility serves as the preliminary ground for finalizing and ramping up production of new products. Zhejiang Ruifuman Medical Technology Company, a pilot-scale experiment base established jointly by the Tianjin University Wenzhou (Safety) Emergency Research Institute and Wenzhou Senguan Technology Company, aims to serve as a comprehensive Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) platform for the emergency medical device industry in Wenzhou. The company provides technical services such as design and process optimization for emergency medical device projects that have undergone conceptual validation. It specializes in the customized production of various general medical device components with high quality and standards, directly fulfilling production orders for non-sterile parts. Additionally, it serves as a pilot base for manufacturing non-core general components for a wide range of medical devices and offers partial processing services for sterile medical equipment. Furthermore, the company has collaborated with institutions such as Wenzhou Jin'ou Concept Verification Technology Company to foster a comprehensive medical device industry ecosystem. By offering a diverse array of industrial space solutions and comprehensive full-chain services, it aims to attract an influx of talent, capital, and technological resources, ultimately enhancing the innovation capacity and competitiveness of the medical device industry in Wenzhou. To expedite the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements and achieve industrial-scale production, China Gene Medicine Valley has been striving to bridge the “last mile”in the transformation of such achievements. So far, it has established a concept validation center affiliated with the Wenzhou Research Institute of Shanghai University, specializing in the field of biomaterials and passive medical devices. This center provides funding for early-stage achievements and conducts technological and commercial validation. Additionally, the operational Baoyuming Medical Device CDMO Base boasts a pilot platform for passive devices, with plans to concurrently construct pilot workshops for active devices and in-vitro diagnostics (IVD). The establishment of this base will focus on emergency rescue technology, further fostering the integration of science, technology, and the market. |
